Crucible Cards

When you buy a digital edition of Crucible Cards, you're buying a license to use the deck, not ownership of the deck itself. You can use it, print it, and bring it into your work. You can't resell it, share it beyond your license, or strip it for parts. The full terms are below, but that's the heart of it.

What you're buying

Crucible Cards is a digital product delivered as a PDF. Your purchase gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the deck according to the tier you bought. The deck, including all questions, follow-ups, opening cards, structure, and design, remains the intellectual property of Leila Moumouni-Tchouassi and The Collective Legacy.

What each license allows

Individual practitioner license

For one person. You may use the deck in your own work, including paid facilitation, consulting, coaching, and workshops you personally lead. You may print copies for your own use in sessions. The license is tied to you as an individual practitioner.

Organizational license (small, mid, and large)

For one organization, sized by staff count. Everyone within your organization may use the deck internally. You may print copies for your team, use it in internal sessions, retreats, and meetings, and reference it in your internal work. The license covers your organization's own use, not use on behalf of external clients as a separate paid service.

Solidarity license

Carries the same usage terms as the individual practitioner license, at the solidarity rate.

What you may do

Use the deck in your own facilitation, consulting, and educational work. Print physical copies for use in the settings your license covers. Adapt how you sequence or select cards for your own sessions. Reference the deck and credit it in your work.

What you may not do

Resell, redistribute, or share the PDF or its contents outside the terms of your license. Upload the file to any public or shared platform, file-sharing service, or website. Reproduce the deck's questions, structure, or design to create a competing or derivative product. Remove or alter the credits, attribution, or branding. Use the deck or its contents to train artificial intelligence or machine learning systems. Sublicense, rent, or lend the deck to others.

If you want to use the deck in a way these terms don't cover, for example licensing it for a large network, a train-the-trainer program, or a co-branded engagement, reach out. We're glad to talk about it.

Sharing within an organization

If you hold an organizational license, "internal use" means use by the people who are part of your organization. It does not extend to partner organizations, external consultants you contract, or clients you serve, unless they hold their own license. If your organization grows past the staff count of your tier, reach out about moving to the appropriate tier.

Facilitators and consultants

If you're an individual practitioner using the deck with your own clients, that's covered. You're using a tool in the work you personally deliver. What's not covered is providing the deck file itself to clients, or running it as a standalone product on someone else's behalf as though you were distributing it. The line is simple: use the deck in your work, don't hand out the file.

Refunds

All sales are final once the download has been accessed.

Credit and attribution

Attribution is required for any use of Crucible Cards.

Whenever you use the deck in your work, including facilitation, consulting, workshops, training, internal sessions, or any setting where others encounter the cards, you must credit it as:

This applies whether the use is paid or unpaid, internal or external, in person or online. If you reference the deck in a presentation, a handout, a slide, a report, or any public or shared material, the credit must appear visibly alongside it. If you speak about the deck publicly or share about it online, name The Collective Legacy as the source.

You may not present the deck's questions, structure, or approach as your own work, or use them without attribution in any context. Removing, obscuring, or omitting the credit is a breach of this license.

Changes to this policy

We may update these terms over time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to your license.

Crucible Cards surface the structural questions organizations often know they need to ask and rarely ask out loud. The questions move from personal reflection into organizational examination. They ask about power, strategy, partnerships, programmes, MEAL, finance, governance, culture, conflict, narrative, decolonization and anti-racism, and transformation. These are not team-building questions. They are questions for teams ready to look at the architecture of their work and tell each other the truth about what they see.

The questions in this deck were written from inside the work. They come from years of being in rooms where organizations described futures they were not building, named values they were not practising, and ran consultations whose results they had no intention of being changed by.

Most organizational learning tools soften the questions to make them easier to answer. Crucible Cards do the opposite. They hold the question long enough for your team to see what is actually there.

A crucible is a vessel that holds material under enough heat to transform it. It is also the word for a moment that tests what something is actually made of.

This deck is built for those moments.
