Bring us the hard conversation.

We design the room, hold the conversation, and help your group build the agreements that let it keep going after we leave.

Some groups come to us with the one conversation that can’t wait. Others come with a network deciding how it wants to govern itself, or a gathering that needs to do real work. Every engagement is shaped around the people in it.

FOUR WAYS IN

Four ways we work

They overlap, and most groups find they need more than one. Each comes with a question we might put on the table, the kind that opens the conversation a group has been circling.

CULTURE AND SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

Hold the
conversation

For teams, boards, and groups carrying a conversation they keep postponing, whether it’s about harm, through a change race, power, or who really decides.

Every hard conversation deserves a room designed for it. We work out who needs to be there, what has to be true for people to speak, and how the group will know the conversation did the necessary work. Then we hold it so everyone can take part with dignity. What comes next is designed with the people closest to the issue, in a process everyone can understand and the people most affected get to shape.

What this looks like

  • Listening conversations with the people involved, before anyone is in the same room

  • Facilitated conversations on harm, conflict, race, power, and change

  • Co-design sessions that put the people closest to the issue at the centre

  • Agreements the group writes together before it leaves the room

You'll walk away with the conversation finally on the table, decisions everyone saw being made, agreements you made together, understand, and can hold each other to.

CULTURE & SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

Build the
collective

For networks, coalitions, communities of practice, teams forming or re-forming, and for boards rethinking how they lead.

Culture is what a group does when nobody is watching. Systems are how it decides when everyone is. We help a collective shape both on purpose, who speaks, who decides, how power moves, and what happens when people disagree, with feminist governance, decolonial practice, and anti-racism as its foundational logic.

What this looks like

  • Mapping together, how power and decisions really move through the ecosystem

  • Co-designing shared governance: roles, rotation, consent, and how decisions get made

  • Rituals that carry the culture you want, from how meetings open to how people are welcomed and said goodbye to

  • Conflict and repair practices the whole group agrees to and can run

You'll walk away with a collective that knows how it decides, practices it can run without us, and a culture people can feel the moment they walk in

EVENTS & LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Gather with
purpose

For retreats, convenings, labs, cohorts, keynotes, and community gatherings that needs to do some real work

SEE THE WINTER/FALL SESSIONS

Gathering is the heart of this practice. We design spaces people want to walk into, where the program serves the conversation, joy is treated as technology. Joy loosens what is stuck, sparks ideas no agenda could plan for, and gives a group the energy to keep building. Everyone leaves holding something they made together.

What this looks like

  • Retreats and convenings, from a half day to several days

  • Learning labs and cohorts that meet over a season

  • (elementary) sessions, adapted to your group before we run them

  • Keynotes and panels that open conversation the room keeps having

  • A harvest of what was said, decided, and promised, returned to everyone who was there

You'll walk away with a gathering people remember for what it changed, a record of what the group made, and the energy to keep going.

LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIPS

Walk alongside

For collectives that want a facilitator and thinking partner nearby for a season, a year, or longer

Real change takes more than one good day. A long-term partnership keeps us close while your group finds its rhythm. We’re there before the meetings that matter, steady when something breaks down, and honest when old habits start creeping back in.

What this looks like

  • Regular check-ins with leadership, the board, or a core team

  • Preparation and support before the conversations that matter

  • Seasonal reflection sessions on what has changed and what still needs to

  • A steady hand, on call, when something breaks

You'll walk away with a thinking partner who knows your history, a group that keeps growing its own capacity, and a relationship designed to end well, when you’re ready.

How the work moves

Four movements, adapted to every group, with the people in the room setting the pace. The last one loops back to the first, because a collective that works keep gathering.

Listen first
We meet the people before we meet the problem, and build a shared picture of what the moment needs

Gather

Design the room
and hold it
Each space is designed for the conversation it has to carry, then held with the care, rigour, and room for what surfaces

Hold

Make it together
The team builds its own agreements, practices, and ways of deciding, and understands them intimately because they made them.

Build

Leaves it stronger
We hand over the practice, prepare the people who will hold the next conversation, and check back in.

Pass on

Pass it on, and the
next gathering begins.
